Our Studio

A row of historic white buildings with pink accents and window boxes line a city street.

Blush Boudoir began in the mid-2000s, when founder Tracy Pote was working as a wedding photographer and began creating boudoir photography for her bridal clients. Her goal was to create images that felt sexy yet refined, elegant and empowering. That work eventually led to the founding of Blush Boudoir in 2010.

Blush opened in downtown Dayton in a historic 1829 building that is now owned and continually developed by Tracy and her husband, Billy. Known to many longtime clients as the “little house” with the pink doors, the more than 2,000-square-foot space has evolved into a dedicated private boudoir studio designed specifically for the Blush Experience.

Today, Blush Boudoir is a luxury boudoir studio built around a collaborative team of specialists. Tracy serves as creative director and photographer, shaping the aesthetic and artistic direction of the studio. Billy serves as studio director, overseeing marketing, technology, studio design and business operations. Together with Blush’s experienced photographers, professional makeup artists and hairstylists, the team works collaboratively to create an experience that feels polished, personal and intentionally designed around each client.

Our photography team alone brings more than 30 years of combined boudoir photography experience, and since 2010 Blush has photographed more than 1,500 clients.

That experience matters, but not because every session follows the same formula.

Professional makeup artist applies finishing touches during beauty session in salon with dramatic lighting.

Each client comes to Blush with her own reasons for being photographed, her own comfort level and her own idea of how she wants to feel and be seen. Some want soft and romantic. Others want bold, dramatic, provocative or editorial. The mood, styling and direction of the session are shaped around the individual rather than asking every woman to fit a single Blush look.

Many of our clients arrive nervous and leave seeing themselves differently. Because boudoir is not simply about taking sexy photographs.

It is about reclaiming confidence.

It is about honoring your body as it is.

It is about stepping into something bold and leaving stronger.

It is about capturing a season of growth, celebration or rediscovery.

Our clients range from their twenties to their sixties and beyond. Brides. Mothers. Newly divorced women. Professionals. Women celebrating milestones or simply choosing to do something for themselves. Many return again because the experience is deeply personal and the photographs become part of how they remember that chapter of their lives.

At Blush, we believe every woman is worthy of feeling powerful, beautiful and seen. Age does not disqualify you. Size does not disqualify you. Life experience does not disqualify you.

Our role is not to change you. It is to photograph you with the care, artistry and intention to reveal what has always been there.

Here are some of the reasons over 1,500 clients have chosen Blush Boudoir.

And we would be honored to welcome you.

Tracy Pote

Founder & Creative Director

“Hi, I'm Tracy, the heart behind the lens. For almost two decades, I've had the privilege of watching something quietly extraordinary happen inside our studio: women walk in one way, and leave forever changed. That's the power of boudoir. And it's why I'm here. I'll be a little vulnerable with you, because it only feels fair: this work chose me as much as I chose it. I've seen what it does. The way a woman's shoulders drop when she finally sees herself. The tears. The laughter. The quiet "oh" of recognition. It never gets old, and I never take it lightly. I believe boudoir photography has the power to change the world one woman at a time, by reminding her that she is sensual, sacred, and deeply seen. Exactly as she is, right now, today. My style leans emotive, sensual, and a little moody at times. I'm not here to manufacture a moment; I'm here to witness the one that's already yours. When you step in front of my camera, you don't have to perform. I'll guide you gently, and let your beauty shine through. Because the magic? It's already there, love. I'm so honored you're here." – Tracy

Victoria Wooton

Boudoir Photographer & Videographer

“In 2012, I picked up a professional camera for the first time as I became a certified portrait studio photographer out of a local JCPenny store and I never looked back. After college I began growing my own business, Vicci Photo, documenting weddings and families. It wasn’t long before my clients started asking for boudoir photos, and I enthusiastically obliged and dove into the world of boudoir head first.

"My objective when starting to photograph boudoir was to provide my clients with not only beautiful images of themselves, but with self-love and gratitude for their bodies. In every type of session I aim to empower my clients, but boudoir allows me to tastefully and artistically showcase their beauty, confidence, and vulnerability in a different light. Beyond just taking photos, it is most important to me to create a safe and comfortable experience where clients can embrace their bodies and celebrate their true beauty.

"Blush Studio has everything needed for the perfect boudoir session - an amazing team of hype-women who will make you feel absolutely beautiful and give you the most comfortable and exhilarating boudoir experience anyone could ask for!" - Victoria

Lead Makeup Artist / Hairstylist

“I’ve had a passion for makeup artistry since being in high school. After completing my professional training at L Makeup Institute in Las Vegas, I stayed and continued to work in the industry there, working for high profile clients like Cirque du Soleil and Ms. Nevada. In late 2020, I moved back to Ohio to join the Blush Boudoir beauty team and offer my freelance services including professional makeup artistry, makeup classes and spray tanning. I absolutely love transforming our clients at Blush and bringing out their true beauty to be captured in photos!” – Payton

“I’ve always had a passion for hair and makeup and anything beauty related. I graduated in 2014 from the Premier Academy of Cosmetology in Tulsa. Upon graduation and moving back to Ohio I started right away in the bridal industry offering bridal hair & makeup services. I love giving brides their moment on such a magical day and I’m passionate about continuing education and learning new techniques and skills. I got back behind the chair in 2021 at Let’s Do Makeup & Hair in Oakwood and Blush Studio where I’m excited to create the perfect look for our clients!” – Chelsie

Billy Pote

Studio Director

"I’m originally from Chicago and spent five years living in St. Petersburg, Florida before moving to the Dayton area in 2001. Over the years I’ve worked in the restaurant industry, the IT field and even launched an online magazine, each experience shaping how I think about service, systems and brand building.

"In 2011, Tracy moved her growing boudoir studio into the historic downtown building I owned. That is where our partnership began. We became business partners in 2012, married in 2016 and today co-own and operate Blush Studio together.

"While Tracy leads the creative vision of Blush Boudoir, I focus on the structure that supports it. I oversee marketing strategy, technology, studio development, client systems and business operations, ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. From refining workflows to building custom sets and continually elevating our space, my goal is simple: create an environment where our artists can create freely and every client feels cared for from first inquiry to final delivery.

"Of all the businesses I’ve started and roles I’ve held, none has given me more pride than Blush Studio. Although I don't stand behind the camera and rarely meet our clients in person, I read every testimonial and understand just how deeply this experience impacts the women we serve. Being part of that transformation is something I never take for granted." - Billy
