When I started Blush Boudoir in Dayton in 2010, I wasn't thinking about awards. I was thinking about one thing: creating a space where women could walk in feeling uncertain and walk out with photographs that showed them exactly who they are.

Fifteen years later, that mission hasn't changed. But somewhere along the way, something else happened too. The women we photographed started talking. They told their friends, their sisters, their coworkers. They left reviews. They came back. And the recognition followed.

Best in Ohio Weddings, 2021 and 2025

Being named Best in Ohio Weddings by Ohio Weddings Magazine is an honor we don't take lightly, especially because we've now received it twice. Bridal boudoir is one of the most personal gifts a woman can give herself before her wedding. The trust it takes to step in front of a camera, to be seen - that's not something we ever treat as routine. Receiving this recognition twice, four years apart, tells us that what we're doing is connecting with brides across Ohio in a real way.

Best of Dayton, 2022

Dayton is home. Our studio is in the heart of historic downtown Dayton, and the women who walk through our doors come from every corner of the Miami Valley - from Springboro and Troy to Centerville, Miamisburg, and beyond. Being recognized by Dayton Magazine as Best of Dayton in 2022 meant more than we can say, because it came from the community we serve every single day.

What the numbers behind the awards reflect

Awards are decided by judges and editors. The numbers are decided by clients. Over 1,500 women have had their boudoir session at Blush since we opened, and more than 400 of them have left five-star reviews with an aggregate rating of 5.0. That combination of high volume at perfect rating is not something that happens by accident. It happens because every person on our team, from our photographers to our hair and makeup artists, treats every session like it matters. Because it does.

We're proud of the awards. But what we're most proud of is the woman who almost cancelled her session and didn't. The one who cried when she saw her photos. The one who said it was the best gift she'd ever given herself. Those are the moments that drive everything else.
