You don't need to go shopping before your session. Most clients work with what they already own - lingerie, a cozy oversized sweater, a meaningful piece of clothing, or even just a robe. We also have an extensive client closet which we've carefully curated for all of our clients to borrow from, so no matter what - we have you covered.

Professional makeup is included in every Blush Experience package and is required for all clients. This isn't just a policy, it's part of what makes the experience work. Our artists know exactly how to prepare your skin and look for photography lighting, which is very different from everyday makeup. If you prefer to do your own hair, that flexibility is available, though most clients love the full treatment. Either way, you're in good hands.

Your session is an intimate, private experience and we keep it that way intentionally. Only you, your photographer, and our hair and makeup artists will be present. We don't allow guests in the studio during sessions, and this is by design. Guests, even well-meaning ones, shift the energy in the room in ways that can make it harder for you to relax, be present, and fully connect with the experience. This time is yours. We want you to feel free to let go without an audience.

Yes, and it is a beautiful experience. Couples Boudoir is available as an add-on for most of our Blush Experience packages. These sessions are tasteful, intimate, and handled with the same care and professionalism as every session we do.

We recommend booking at least four to six weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date in mind - a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or personal milestone. Our schedule fills quickly and we want to make sure you have the experience you're envisioning without having to rush.

However, we're sometimes able to accommodate last minute requests so if you're looking to do a session in the next week or so, please reach out and we'll do all we can to get you in.

Plan for a meaningful chunk of your day -- and enjoy every minute of it. Hair and makeup typically take around an hour, followed by your photography session. Depending on which Blush Experience you choose, the photography portion runs anywhere from approximately 1.5 to 4 hours. Think of the whole day as something you're doing entirely for yourself.

Because your images deserve better than a quick first look. Every photograph from your session goes through our full professional editing process before you ever see a single image. We don't believe in handing over unedited or lightly touched work because your gallery should reflect the full vision of your session, and that takes time to do right.

Editing is typically completed within two to three days of your session. From there, you can choose between an in-person image reveal or an online reveal via a private, password-protected gallery link. For clients traveling from Cincinnati, Columbus, or elsewhere, the online reveal means only one trip to Dayton is ever required. It is a process we are proud of, and one our clients consistently tell us made the experience feel even more special.

Once you book, you'll receive our Preparing for Your Session Guide, which walks you through everything: what to bring, how to care for your skin in the days leading up to your session, outfit ideas, and what to expect when you arrive. Your photographer will also reach out personally the day before your session to check in and answer any last-minute questions. You will never feel like you're figuring this out alone.

Blush Studio is located in downtown Dayton at 120 N. St. Clair Street, Dayton, OH 45402. We have one studio and we think you'll love it the moment you walk in.

We welcome clients from Cincinnati, Columbus, and across Ohio. For clients making the drive, our online image reveal option means you only need to visit us once - your session day. Everything after that can be handled privately from home.

Your privacy is something we take seriously, and we have formalized that commitment as the Blush Privacy Promise. We will never share your images publicly without your explicit written permission, and that consent is entirely optional. There is no expectation, no pressure, and no follow-up if you choose to keep your gallery completely private. Clients have complete control over what is shared, which specific images are approved for sharing, and whether any images are shared at all. Many of our clients choose to keep their gallery entirely private, and we respect that fully.

What may surprise you is that more than half of our clients choose to share their images with us, not because they were asked to but because they want to. That says something meaningful about the experience and the images that come from it.

As with all professional photography, Blush Boudoir retains copyright of all images. Every client receives a limited license that covers all personal uses including electronic sharing, print reproduction, and personal display. This license does not extend to commercial use, contest entries, business display, image alteration, or distribution to third parties.
