If you've started researching boudoir photography and found yourself confused by the pricing, you're not alone. Boudoir is one of those industries where what you see advertised and what you actually end up paying can be two very different numbers - and that disconnect puts a lot of women off before they ever book.
This article breaks it down honestly. We'll explain how boudoir photography is typically priced, what you're actually paying for, and how we do things at Blush Studio, because we believe you deserve to know exactly what you're getting into before you reach out.

Why Boudoir Photography Pricing Is So Confusing
Most industries price things simply. Boudoir often doesn't.
It's common to see studios advertise a session fee that is sometimes as low as a few hundred dollars and covers the photographer's time and the experience of the shoot itself. What those advertised prices typically don't include are the images. Prints, albums, and digital files are usually sold separately through what studios call product collections or image packages, and those can add significantly to your total investment. We used to structure our pricing this way ourselves, which is exactly why we know how confusing it can be.
You may also notice that many studios don't publish any pricing at all and require you to get on a phone call before they'll share details. We understand the reasoning, but we also know that not everyone is ready for a sales conversation before they've even decided if boudoir is right for them. You shouldn't have to talk to anyone before you can understand what something costs.
This isn't necessarily dishonest, but it does make comparison shopping genuinely difficult. When you're evaluating studios, it's worth asking upfront: what does the session fee include, what will I need to spend additionally to actually receive my images, and can I get those details without committing to a call first?
At Blush Studio, we decided that we didn't want our clients doing mental gymnastics with numbers or feeling any pressure before they're ready. So we built a different model.
How Blush Boudoir Pricing Works
Every Blush Experience is all-inclusive. One price covers everything:
- Professional hair and makeup artistry
- Your fully guided boudoir photography session
- Complete access to our curated client closet
- A private image reveal - your choice of in-studio or online gallery
- A set of images included with your package you can download and use in optional print products
- A product credit toward albums, prints, or additional images
There are no hidden product menus revealed after the session. No pressure to spend more in an emotionally vulnerable moment. You know exactly what you're getting - and what it costs- before you ever book.
Our all-inclusive Blush Experience packages start at $1,195. Each one includes professional hair and makeup, your full session with access to our entire client closet, a set of images to keep, and a product credit you can apply toward albums, prints, or additional images. Our clients typically invest between $2,500 and $3,500 total but there is no obligation to spend more in addition to your initial Blush Experience package.
For the full package breakdown - including all package levels, product pricing and everything you need to take the next step - you can request our complete pricing guide. There's no obligation, and we'll follow up personally to answer any questions.
Is Boudoir Photography Worth the Investment?
That depends entirely on what you're comparing it to. Compared to a spa day, a weekend trip, or other luxury experiences you might treat yourself to, a boudoir session offers something none of those do: a permanent record of who you are right now, at this moment in your life, looking and feeling your absolute best.
Our clients range from women in their twenties treating themselves for the first time, to women in their fifties celebrating a milestone, to brides creating a wedding gift, to women on the other side of a major life change who are ready to reclaim how they see themselves. What they have in common is that almost universally, they tell us it was worth every penny - and they wish they'd done it sooner.
We have over 400 five-star reviews from real women who made that investment. Their words make the case better than we ever could.
What to Ask Before Booking Any Boudoir Studio
Whatever studio you're considering (including us) here are the questions worth asking before you commit:
- Does the session fee include images, or are those purchased separately?
- What is the minimum I would need to spend to walk away with photographs?
- Are product prices available to review before I book?
- What exactly is included in the experience - hair, makeup, outfits, styling guidance?
- Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?
A studio that answers these questions clearly and upfront, without requiring you to attend a reveal appointment first, is a studio that respects your time and your budget.
