Many women arrive at Blush Boudoir feeling nervous, but leave feeling confident and empowered. Here is what one of our clients had to say about her boudoir photography experience at our Dayton studio:

"I originally booked my Blush session as a fun treat for myself. The Valentine’s Day mini session email came out at the same time I got a small bonus from work, so I thought “Why not?” Shortly after I booked my session though, my depression hit hard. I fell into a 2-week slump that made it hard to do anything. I went to work and took care of my cats, but that was the extent of my energy. One of my cats got sick and I had a health scare at the same time, pushing me down even further into depression. Little things started piling up and with the world on fire, everything small felt so big. It was just too much.

"I almost cancelled my session. I didn’t have the energy to even load the dishwasher at home, so how would I have the energy to do a boudoir shoot? My heart just wasn’t in it. But I went anyway. And what originally started as a fun gift for myself, turned into so much more. Is it cliché to say that in only a couple of hours, I started to feel like myself again? Being around other strong, beautiful women was exactly what I needed. It wasn’t about the photography, makeup, or hair. It was about being with other women who understand what I’m feeling. Who felt the heaviness of the world right alongside me. I feel so powerless with everything that’s going on right now in my personal life and in the world, but after those short hours, I got to take back some of the power I thought I lost. And looking at those pictures made me realize that I’m not struggling with depression – depression is struggling with me. Because I’m still here and still fighting." - Ms. K from Huber Heights, Ohio
